Clear Aligners For Teens In Chester County, PA

Getting orthodontic treatment during the teen years can seem intimidating, but with so many options out there, your teen can find an orthodontic treatment solution that fits their lifestyle and works effectively to get their desired smile.

The clear aligner process is simple and effective. First, you’ll need to schedule a consultation with one of our three orthodontists. During the consultation, our orthodontic specialists will take X-rays and digital scans of your teeth in order to create a treatment plan. Once the treatment plan is created, you’ll be able to see a virtual representation of how your teeth will look at the end of treatment. Next, clear aligners will be custom-made for your mouth based on the treatment plan. You’ll need to wear the aligners for 20-22 hours a day, and you’ll need to change to a new set of aligners every two weeks. As you wear each set of aligners, your teeth will gradually shift into their new positions. The entire process usually takes an average of 9-15 months, and then you’ll be able to enjoy your new smile!

Types Of Clear Aligners

At Leiss Orthodontics, we offer one type of clear aligners for teens: Spark Clear Aligners. Spark Clear Aligners are a newer option that is quickly gaining popularity. Spark Clear Aligners are made from clear, durable plastic that is also virtually invisible when worn. However, Spark Clear Aligners have a textured surface that helps to grip the teeth and keep the aligners in place. Both brands are removable for eating, brushing, and flossing. Ultimately, the best clear aligner for you will depend on your individual needs and preferences. Our skilled orthodontic team can help you choose the right option for your smile!

Clear aligners have become increasingly popular among teens in recent years, and it’s easy to see why. First of all, they are practically invisible, so there’s no need to feel self-conscious about wearing them. Secondly, they are traditionally more comfortable than metal braces so they won’t cause any pain or irritation. Thirdly, they are removable, so your teen can take them out for special occasions or when they need to brush and floss their teeth. Finally, they are much less expensive than traditional braces so they won’t break the bank. Clear aligners are a great option for teens who want to straighten their teeth without any fuss or bother.

As a teenager, you already have a lot to keep track of schoolwork, extracurriculars, and your social life. So it’s understandable if you sometimes forget to take care of your clear aligners. However, it’s important to remember that taking care of your aligners is essential to maintaining your oral health. Here are some tips on how to protect your clear aligners from damage:

  • Always brush your teeth before putting in your aligners. This will help remove any food particles or plaque that could cause damage.

  • Be careful when eating. The best practice is to remove them when eating to avoid any damage or staining.

  • Keep aligners clean by brushing them gently with a toothbrush and warm water.

  • Store aligners in a safe place when you’re not wearing them. A case is a great option.

By following these tips, you can help keep your aligners in good condition and your smile looking its best.
